Fairytale Chandeliers and Sconces
While visiting one of my favorite home decor stores in Dallas called Vintage Living, I was floored by these exquisite crystal chandeliers and sconces and was delighted to be able to photograph them for Nora's Nest. These one-of-a-kind pieces usually come from French chateaus, their rarity and beauty making them pieces fairytales are made of!
These icicle crystals, a cut ball, and swedish drop crystals create a chandelier that Elsa could have magically created in "
." Piercingly gorgeous.
This gold leaf chandelier drips with delicate swedish drop and rosette crystals above an assortment of mercury glass vases. Can't you imagine a miniature "
" dancing beneath it?
This lovely sconce features rosette, pear, and pendeloque crystals. Backed by an antique, distressed gray door. A linen cover surrounds and hides the cord.
These long chandeliers feature spear crystals and elegant arms.
A pair of beaded sconces flank an old venetian mirror.
Many of these lighting fixtures, like the one pictured above, have crystal beading along the structure of the piece called macaroni beading. Here, the addition of rosettes, pear crystals, and crystal cups makes this small sconce a works of art.
's Fairy Godmother must have used this chandelier as inspiration for Cinderella's blue ballgown transformation. It features blue raindrop crystals, a gorgeous nod to the blue coral and slate blue urn below. What a magnificent vignette; my favorite of the collection.
Thank you to Lisa Luby Ryan and her store, Vintage Living, for allowing me to showcase these incredible lighting fixtures. Thank you for visiting Nora's Nest!
XOXO,
