Dining Al Fresco
What could be more wonderful than dining al fresco under the trees? This photo, found on Domaine.com, has been so inspiring as I work on transforming my backyard this summer. The fresh and simple palette, lines of shade trees, gravel floor surface, and rustic table remind me of being in a lovely Parisian park.
Visually, the linear trees create the sense of a dining room without walls, which is not only a clever way to define the space, but it also provides dappled shade for the table. I imagine that the gravel underfoot makes that terrific crunchy sound, and I can also smell the lemony sole meuniere being prepared in the kitchen, can't you?
Enjoy the beautiful summer, and I hope you enjoy my inspirational photo find!
XOXO,
