Simple Summer Fruit Bowl

Simple Summer Fruit Bowl; Nora's Nest

There is perhaps nothing more gratifying than enjoying the bounties of a backyard or garden in summer. With lemon, orange, and pineapple guava trees in their ripened conditions, I decided to create a simple summer fruit bowl and use it as a centerpiece on the backyard coffee table. It took about seven minutes to create and is a delight to see and eat!

This lemon tree grows in a large terra cotta pot near rosemary and lavender.

And here's the pineapple guava tree...

After picking the fruit and cutting ficus leaves for embellishment, I piled the fruit high in a white ramekin bowl and placed the leaves around the circumference of the bowl.

Set next to a distressed Moroccan lantern, the fruit bowl is the perfect arrangement for a hot summer day.

The colors also mimic the yellows, greens, and blues in this Spanish tile.

I hope you enjoyed my simple summer fruit bowl! Whether you have fruit, flowers, trees, or bushes, anything in your backyard or neighborhood can be gathered to create a lovely arrangement in just minutes. Thanks for visiting Nora's Nest!
